You Are Not the Struggle

It’s okay to have a big feeling. Having it doesn’t mean something’s wrong with you — believing it defines you is the only real risk.

“Imperfect mortals grasp the ultimate of spiritual perfection slowly; but to begin aright and to continue the strife of demonstrating the great problem of being, is doing much.”

— Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 254:12

“You had a stormy five minutes. You are not a storm.”

Three Questions

  1. 1.Am I just noticing this feeling, or already deciding it means something bad about me?
  2. 2.Does this feeling get to be the boss of who I am?
  3. 3.What would “still trying” look like right now?
